Gallagher & Cavanaugh’s insurance practice consists of two principal components. First, we represent individuals and businesses through a number of insurers. One of the measures we have used to gauge our performance on behalf of insureds is their requests for our involvement in matters other than those for which we were initially retained. The quality of our work and consistently first-rate results have persuaded multiple national accounts to solicit our services not only for additional cases in Massachusetts but for claims and lawsuits in other jurisdictions.
Second, we also appear on behalf of insurers in a variety of matters, including but not limited to coverage disputes, alleged consumer protection act violations, and subrogation claims. The attorneys in our insurance litigation practice have decades of experience allowing them to provide in-depth analysis of policy terms based on a thorough understanding of the historical development of policy forms and the case law that has developed in interpreting policy provisions.
