Emily Batcheler has extensive experience handling Workers' Compensation litigation matters. Her current practice focuses on civil defense litigation including the areas of construction, premises, and products liability litigation.

Personal/Professional Experience

Ms. Batcheler was born in Dracut, MA. She traveled to Pittsburg, PA to attend Carnegie Mellon University, and then ventured to Athens, GA to attend the University of Georgia School of Law. Prior to joining Gallagher & Cavanaugh she worked at a general practice law firm, assisting with personal injury cases, litigating contested divorces, negotiating contracts, incorporating start-up businesses, and consulting on estate planning. She then transitioned into specialized civil litigation where she spent many years defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators throughout Georgia against workers' compensation claims.

Activities

Ms. Batcheler is passionate about preserving the environment for future generations and is involved in numerous organizations working towards that goal. She has also taken the lead on multiple fundraising opportunities for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and can be found attempting various 5k road races around the country.
